Why the heck not?

Perhaps it's a little of COVID-crazy kicking in. Perhaps it's the fact that the hubby told me that I can't shift the shake because I have had 4 children and am in my 40s, or simply the fact that I know how absolutely amazing the human body and mind can be when you tap into the tenacious side.
Seriously though, ever wake up and feel a little bored with your workout? Wonder what brilliant challenge you could kick off with yourself, to hold yourself accountable and throw your heart into - to improve YOU, on the outside and the inside? Well, that is what happened to me. Bored with my routine, knowing I was being lazy and exercising within my physical and aerobic capability yet wanting to step up and focus on my whole body.
I am embarking on an adventure - learning the sport of the steel pole! Yes, effectively Pole Dance, but not in the sexual provocative 'erotic' way (hahaha not this body) BUT I do believe to dance and hold your body weight on a pole requires focused dedication, time and commitment to building that muscle strength and stamina combined with aerobic and anaerobic fitness.
Each week I will put together a short video to show my focus for the following week and you will see my progression with my strength, ability and hopefully my physique.
My objective is to tone up a little, build fitness and strength and be able to complete a self-choreographed routine. I will prove that this is possible through regular exercise and practice, combined with a cardio workout each day and a strong commitment to dietary intake of around 1500 calories p/day.

You go Em!!! You got this!!
